I am having my boiler replace in a couple of weeks (before the gas boiler
tax), 4 days with no heating so in preparation I have bought a 2 KW
electric fake log fire from Warmlite.

The leaflet with it says:

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Install your appliance in accordance with the installation & safety
instructions.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.

The manual also says:
"CAUTION! No wall fixings are provided with this fireplace suite. Take
care to ensure
the suite is set on a flat and stable surface and placed against a wall to
prevent it from falling over or being dislodged."

There is a plastic package with 3 x screws and 3 x plastic wall plugs
included. There is also a box containing some coals.

No installation & safety instructions were included.

I have emailed them so hopefully they can clarify things for me.

I think these were them.

Maybe you should get a man in? I mean, it’s just a 2kW electric fire. How
many instructions do you need?

Just enough to know if it needs fitting to the wall with the supplied
screws or if it can be left free standing. Obviously a fire risk if it
falls over while on.

That's an amazing invention but who would ever want to use one of them?

Only you can decide how likely it is to fall over. If it’s likely, screw it
to the wall. If it’s vanishingly unlikely, don’t bother.

You can safely leave that decision to me, you seem to have completely
missed the point of my post, should I explain it to you?
