Also, the official report does not mince words about its southern neighbor:

“The whole country is overwhelmed with the desire to destroy the Korean
garbage that violates the sovereignty and security of our sacred republic,”
the KCNA wrote.

Well they just signed a deal with putin to form a "despot's NATO" mutual
assistance style pact. Add to that Putin is running out of fresh meat to
feed his "meat grinder" attacks in Ukraine, and there were already DPRK
soldiers on the front. It does not take much to join those dots...

I expect they are biding their time, wait for russia to implode, and
then move in and either buy it for cheap, or just "liberate" their
historical lands.
